THE comedy club at the Villa Marina next Thursday (July 31) will feature the talents of Roger Monkhouse, Yianni Agislaou and Jeff Innocent.
Roger is described as 'one of the most intellectual comics in the business, who oozes class with every syllable he utters, be it a wry observation or a witty one liner, all delivered with a laconic, urbane Surrey posh accent that has not been crushed
by far too many years living in the north of the country. A comedy club owner himself when he is not performing, Roger knows exactly what an audience wants and delivers it with a deadly combination of charm and wit'.
Yianni's show promises to be 'well thought out, fast paced and most importantly very very funny. Characters such as his grandmother are all brought to life using Yianni's greatest comedic strength, his uncanny ability to mimic voices. From impersonating his grandmother to depicting Gollum as a struggling stand up, Yianni's imitations are a stand out feature of this show'.
Jeff has been described as 'one of the truly big stars, in more ways than one, of modern British comedy.
'East Ender Jeff Innocent is that dangerous breed – a big man with a brain. This unique contrast is the product of a colourful life growing up in London's East End, which has seen him combine working as a bouncer while also boasting an academic background.
'Such experiences form the cornerstone of his act and his talent has seen him land numerous roles on film and TV, including appearing alongside fellow hard-man turned thespian Vinny Jones in Mean Machine, Time Gentlemen and It Was An Accident.'
Tickets for the show, which is for over 18s, are £12.50. They are available by ringing the ticket hotline on 694555 or online at
